NFL Hall of Fame class 2026?

Leave comments, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

The 2025 NFL season is quickly approaching the finish line. This allows us to have a look at the 2026 Hall of Fame nominees. Drew Brees, Larry Fitzgerald, Bill Belichick, Philip Rivers, Jason Witten and Frank Gore lead the first-time nominee list.

My thoughts are Drew, Belichick and Fitzgerald make are going to make it in 2026.

River was very successful but of course never made a Superbowl and lacks the playoff success the others have. Yes, Larry Fitzgerald doesn't have a ring, but he played for one team his entire career and had an MVP caliber Superbowl performance if it wasn't for Big Ben leading the Steelers to victory within the final seconds. Drew Brees has over 80.000 passing yards, turned a franchise around leading the New Orlean Saints to the Superbowl over Peyton Manning and the Colts. What's not to love about the guy.

Bill Belichick needs no introduction for sure. Reaching nine Superbowl's winning six of them. That Patriots dynasty will be one of the greatest ever.

Jason Witten is one of the best Cowboys to play period. He defined workhorse and never made unneeded drama. Unfortunately, he played on some Cowboy teams that were quite bad. Which isn't his fault but ultimately keeps him off the ballot because he will be overlooked by the Cowboy standard everyone has with the team.

Frank Gore might be the quietest 16,000 rusher in the history of the league. He was the backbone of his teams getting to a Superbowl and continuing the work with other teams. I could see him being a first ballot guy but ultimately, I feel he has to wait a year.
